About this blog

If the Vedas are the bedrock of our Indian culture, Shrimad Bhagavad Gita is the essence of Vedanta (the last of the knowledge). Each shloka of Gita has a divine message which opens vast windows of cosmic knowledge, bringing the reader closer to Self-Realisation. Anyone, who has tasted even a drop of nectar or who has even glanced through the Bhagavad Gita, attains liberation from the fear of death, says Adi Sankara.

Here, on this blog, we have the shlokas of the Gita, translated by Dr Manohar Abhay, a devotee of Gita. The exposition attempts to make one familiar with the subject of each shloka and the lesson to be learnt thereof.
